Don’t worry, it’s not a performance issue causing your game to run poorly. It’s actually a problem with the game’s functionality, not your phone or PC.
Speed up God Of War Ghost of Sparta in PPSSPP
The first problem we find with this game is that it runs slowly, has a lot of lag, and stutters. Today, we’ll set up the best configuration, even if you have a low-end, mid-range, or high-end Android or iPhone. This also works for computers.
Step 1 and more Effective: Speed up with cheats
Cheats or tricks are codes to increase gold or power in a deceptive way, but this time we’ll use them to improve performance.

To know which one to download, we need to press and hold our game and see what GameID it has. Then, we download that same one.
The installation is simple. We need to move the downloaded text file to the PPSSPP directory. If you already have the emulator, those folders are already installed.
iPhone/iOS: Open the Files app on your iPhone, go to Downloads, copy or cut the file, and move it to PPSSPP/PSP/CHEATS.
For Android (Show)
For Android, it can be a bit more complicated. First, open your phone’s original file explorer, tap on search, and type “cheats.” If the folder appears, great! Find the downloaded file and move it to that folder.
But if that’s not the case, it means that PPSSPP is installed in the android/data folder, which is restricted in Android. So, we need to do some additional steps.
Watch the following tutorial, and once you’ve completed all the steps, take the text file and move it to android/data/org.ppsspp.ppsspp/files/PSP/cheats.
Step 2: Activate Cheats and Configure CPU Clock
Enable cheats: Open PPSSPP → Settings → System → Enable Cheats.
CPU: → Settings → System → CPU Clock Speed, set it to 666Mhz.
Open the game, then go to the PPSSPP menu, tap on Create Config, then select Cheats.
If the game is running too slow, making it unplayable, activate the 30 FPS FIX. If it’s stuttering but close to 60 FPS, activate the 60 FPS FIX.
Still experiencing slowness? As a last resort, go to Menu → Settings → Graphics → Set Rendering Resolution to 2x. Scroll down to Bezier Curve Quality and set it to LOW.
