The reason for this, the poor performance of your game, isn’t due to your phone or PC, but rather an inherent issue with the game itself.
Speed up God Of War: Chains of Olympus on PPSSPP
The first issue we encounter with this game is that it runs slowly, has a lot of lag, and stutters. Today, I’ll show you the best settings to fix these problems, whether you have a low-end, mid-range, or high-end Android or iPhone. This solution also applies to computers.
Step 1: We will use Cheats
Cheats are codes typically used to increase gold or gain powers dishonestly, but this time we’ll use them to optimize the game’s performance.

To determine which one to download, simply long-press the game and check its GameID. Download the one that matches that ID.

Installation is easy: just move the downloaded text file to the PPSSPP folder. If you already have the emulator, these folders are already set up.
For iPhone/iOS: Open the Files app on your iPhone, go to the Downloads folder, copy or cut the file, and move it to PPSSPP/PSP/CHEATS.
For Android (Show)
For Android, it can be a bit more complicated. First, open your phone’s original file explorer, tap on search, and type “cheats.” If the folder appears, great! Find the downloaded file and move it into that folder.
But if that’s not the case, it means PPSSPP is installed in the android/data folder, which is restricted in Android. So, we need to take some additional steps.
You’ll follow the following guide, and after completing all its steps, you’ll take the text file and move it to android/data/org.ppsspp.ppsspp/files/PSP/cheats.
Step 2: Activate Cheats and CPU
Enable cheats: Open PPSSPP → Settings → System → Enable Cheats.
CPU: → Settings → System → CPU Clock Speed, set it to 666Mhz.
Open the game and navigate to the PPSSPP menu. Create a configuration and then access the cheats.
- If the game is too slow and unplayable, activate “30 FPS FIX“.
- If the game stutters but is close to 60 FPS, activate “60 FPS FIX“.
Still slow? As a last resort, go to the menu → settings → resolution → select 2x. Then scroll down and set the Bezier curves quality to “LOW“.
