¿How to Install?This application is updated to its latest version with all the improvements the developer has made, and I must say the features are excellent. In this latest build, compatibility was added for mid-range devices, including Samsung, Huawei, MediaTek, Exynos, and Kirin processors.
¿Which one to Choose?
- Citra MMJ Normal: If you plan to use save data, texture packs, etc., and have Android 13 or later, this APK is ideal for you. With this version, Citra’s data won’t be saved in the android/data directory, which Google increasingly restricts with each new Android version. Instead, the data will be stored in an external path, such as the SDCARD. This way, you can easily move your data and save files without any issues.
- Citra MMJ Storage Access: If you don’t plan to use save data or texture packs from your Nintendo 3DS to transfer to Citra, then this option is the best for you, as this app installs in the android/data directory. Although you can still enter that route with this method

How to Install Citra MMJ APK
Since it cannot be found on Google Play, then the installation will be done through an APK.
Therefore, you only have to look for the APK that you already downloaded, and if you have Android 14 or later, it is preferable to use the original File Manager of your cell phone to avoid inconvenience.

¿What is Citra MMJ?
Citra MMJ is essentially a mod of the official Citra emulator, developed by different individuals like weihuoya. The advantage of this is that they improve the Nintendo 3DS emulator in ways the official version hasn’t yet achieved.
Citra MMJ provides decent performance for 3DS games, and some devices actually get better performance compared to the official Citra (though only with a few games, in my opinion). The same developer who created Dolphin-MMJ also developed Citra MMJ. It’s believed that MMJ uses a single-core compiler, whereas the official Citra supports multi-core processors. This is why most users experience higher performance with the official version, as it utilizes more CPU cores for emulation. (Users also reported that their devices heat up more with the official version compared to MMJ, likely due to this reason, especially since the emulator is still being developed.)
